All We Can Do is Ask

Today I ask you to join me in prayer.

Those of you who read me regularly, and those that happen to be here today by chance.

Someone I know needs a miracle.

It does not matter that we don’t know at this time what exactly that miracle will be. All that matters is that it is about life and death. It is not about asking for the impossible. It is about harnessing all our positive energy together and sending a request heavenward in one concerted pulse that resonates with our collective breath, so that a child speeding homeward may be with a father for one last time.

Hold hands with me, now that you have been here, and please take a moment to contribute, in one kind thought, one wish apiece that this may happen.

All that we can do is ask. The rest, we shall trust in God.

Do not fail me, all who have been here.

Update:
With heartfelt gratitude to all of you who prayed or thought about it. Those that needed it got their miracle. No, one cannot stay the inevitable forever, and whatever has to happen will, in its own time, but your thoughts and prayers made it possible for the child to speak to the father again. Something I had not dared to hope for. You people are wonderful. - November 5, 2006. 10:30AM PST.
